(1) If the Vice-Chancellor, Head of Education, Registrar or Chairman of the Service Commission has not fulfilled the responsibilities of his position, has not worked honestly or has not behaved in a manner befitting his position, if one-third of the members immediately present in the Assembly submit a written request to the Vice-Chancellor to remove him/her from the position, the Vice-Chancellor shall appoint a member of the University Grants Commission and Education under the chairmanship of a member of the Assembly. A three-member investigation committee will be formed with the secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
(2) The inquiry committee formed according to sub-section (1) shall conduct the necessary inquiry in this regard and submit its report to the Chancellor within thirty days.
(3) After receiving the report as per sub-section (2), the chancellor will submit the report to the meeting.
(4) If at least ninety-one percent of the total number of members of the Assembly decide to remove the Vice-Chancellor, Head of Education, General Secretary or the Chairman of the Service Commission during the discussion on the report submitted in accordance with Sub-section (2), the Chancellor shall remove the Vice-Chancellor, Head of Education, General Secretary or the Chairman of the Service Commission from the position. But he shall not be deprived of the opportunity to submit a clean-up before such removal.
(5) Except for the vice-chancellor, principal, secretary and chairman of the service commission, other officials of the university should be removed from office during the investigation of the allegations under sub-section (1).
(6) If an investigation is initiated against an official under this section, a final decision must be made within six months. Until such a final decision is made, he will not be allowed to work in his current position.
(7) Subsection (6). The Vice-Chancellor may assign responsibility to senior officials of the university to carry out the daily work of the above-mentioned officials.
